Leegeehaam Tea Tree 70 BHA Toner Review

Leegeehaam Cosmetics are a Korean brand that state they are constantly striving to develop advanced skincare.  Their slogan is “Beauty is clever”. I love the idea that they’re constantly improving their products! Their skincare range is split into four categories - Life, Grow, Hope and Master.

I was lucky enough to be chosen to review the Tea Tree 70 BHA Toner, which is part of the Grow range. The toner is designed to gently exfoliate and soothe skin and help reduce breakouts. Perfect for my ane prone skin!

The toner is packed full of amazing ingredients including Tea Tree extract which is great to soothe inflamed skin, Salicylic acid to unclog pores and Niacinamide which is also great to keep pores clear.

The first thing I noticed about this toner is the packaging! It’s in a very sturdy pump bottle which I love!
The product itself has no perceptible smell. It’s a thin, watery liquid. I’ve been applying it by soaking a cotton pad with it and sweeping across my face and neck. It leaves skin feeling refreshed and looking hydrated. There’s on acid tingle, it’s very gentle on the skin.

After using this toner every morning for a couple of weeks, it’s safe to say I’m really impressed with it! It’s gentle enough to use daily, at least for my skin anyway. It’s helped keep my pores clear and my skin calm. I’ve not had an acne flare up recently either, so I’m sure it’s contributed towards that. It’s not dried my skin out, like some acid toners can. It’s left it hydrated. All in all this is a brilliant toner for those with oily / acne prone skin. I’ll continue to enjoy using it! I’ll definitely be looking at what else Leegeehaam has to offer!

Disclaimer - This product was gifted to me by the brand for reviewing purposes but my opinions on the product are my own.

June’s Latest in Beauty box

*This post contains affiliate links.
Use of the affiliate links is hugely appreciated and is a great way to support my blog. I love knowing my review's are being put to good use!*

I’d somehow got myself muddled up with my Latest in Beauty subscription box. I must have been late picking my choices a couple of months running so I’ve ended up being able to pick two quite close together! This is my June box, I’ll be picking July’s any day now.

As always, I got to pick 3 items from an extensive, ever changing list of beauty products. This costs £9 per month, including delivery, which I think is an absolute bargain!

This month I chose:

Ecotools Perfecting Blender Duo makeup sponges*. These retail at £9.99 so I’ve already got more than my monies worth! I love makeup sponges and use them daily to apply my foundation, concealer, primer and any other cream / liquid products. I usually stick to Real Techniques but I’ve been wondering about these from Ecotools for a while. I’ve got a few Ecotools brushes that I absolutely love so I expected the same quality for their sponges. Luckily, they don’t disappoint! First of all, they’re a great texture, firm when dry and soft when damp. They’re a bit bigger than what I’m used to. The flat edges seemed odd at first, I’m used to pointed sponges but once I got the hang of it, they were fine! I’m definitely pleased with these.

My next choice was a CYO blusher in shade Tell It Straight*. This normally costs £4. I’d not heard of CYO until last month when I picked another of their products in my box. I’ve been impressed by the quality of that product so I thought I’d try another! The colour is a pinky / peach and it has a gold shimmer to it. It’s a nice soft powder that blends well. As you can see from the swatch, it’s pigmented! I’d say this blusher is a great dupe for Nars Orgasm!

My final choice was a Sanctuary Spa Wet Skin Moisture Miracle body cream*. There were 3 different scents to choose from - I picked Green Lemon and Orange Blossom. This cream really appealed to me as you apply it to still damp skin, straight from the shower. This is designed to lock in more moisture. It’s the same principle as my favourite Elemis body oil. I’ve not tried the cream yet but I’m looking forward to seeing how it performs! This is a 50ml tube, you’d normally buy a 200ml tube for £8.

So another great box from Latest in Beauty and not long to wait until I pick my best one! Have you tried any of these brands?

Discovering Aurelia Probiotic Skincare

Now you all probably know how much I love probiotic skincare brand Tula, so when I saw another brand that also includes probiotics in their range, I had to try it! I came across this brilliant Discovery set from Aurelia Probiotic Skincare* which contains a cleanser and bamboo cloth, a serum and a day and night cream. All this was only £10 delivered which is an absolute bargain! Especially as the product sizes are pretty generous. The creams will definitely last a while! It would be perfect for travelling too.

Aurelia Probiotic Skincare are a British brand that produce high quality products using BioOrganic, ethically sourced ingredients. They’re also cruelty free. They use a unique form of probiotics combined with a milk peptide in all their products. Probiotics are known to help balance skins natural acid mantle, which in turn helps the skin produce more collagen and elastin. We all know how important they are to keep skin looking and feeling young!

Aurelia’s award winning Miracle Cleanser* certainly lives up to its name! It’s a cream cleanser, a lovely consistency. It’s not too thick so there’s no drag to skin when applying and massaging it in. It has a refreshing menthol scent, really similar to the Liz Earl hot cloth cleanser. This is thanks to a combination of eucalyptus, rosemary, bergamot and chamomile. It removes makeup easily. There’s no stinging to eyes either. Skin is left hydrated and clean without being stripped. The cleanser contains loads of skin nourishing ingredients like Baobab and Hibiscus. I’m really loving this cleanser and will definitely buy a full size version in the future.

Revitalise and Glow Serum* - another award winner! It contains some amazing ingredients including Baobab to nourish, Kigelia Africana to firm and Vitamin E to help brighten skin tone. It’s a milky texture, quite runny. It absorbs really well. It contains a blend essential oils (jasmine, mandarin, plumeria and tuberose) which give it its fruity, light scent. It’s a lovely serum to use in the morning as it’s not heavy or greasy. I’ve found this to be very similar to Tula’s Illuminating Serum performance wise. It definitely leaves skin looking healthy and bright. Although I’ve enjoyed using this serum, I won’t be buying it full sized as I’ve still got 1/2 a bottle of the Tula one left and they’re too similar.

Cell Revitalise Day moisturiser* - This has the same light fruity scent as the serum. It’s a super light almost whipped texture which makes it a pleasure to apply! It absorbs well and leaves skin looking hydrated. It’s packed with BioOrganic botanicals that provide antioxidants and Vitamin E to keep skin looking radiant. These also a whole host of oils which help hydrate and protect skin. It’s a gorgeous moisturiser that I’d definitely repurchase.

Cell Revitalise Night cream* - This cream is much thicker than its daytime counterpart. It’s incredibly rich as it contains shea butter and rosehip oil which are amazing to deeply nourish skin. It’s sweeter smelling too and floral, it contains a blend of neroli, lavender, mandarin and rose essential oils. You don’t need much, a little goes a long way. I’ve been loving using this, I think it’ll be a firm favourite of mine come winter!

Bamboo muslin* - oh my is this lovely! It’s so soft and silky but textured enough to remove makeup easily. I’m going to be stocking up on these! Aurelia claim that the bamboo is antibacterial and won’t become scratchy when washed.

As you can tell I’m really impressed with Aurelia Skincare products! This discovery set is a complete bargain and perfect to see if the products work for you. Click HERE to buy it, but be quick as they always sell out!

June Empties

Space NK UK

Here’s a quick summary of what I’ve used during last month. It’s surprising how much I’ve gone through!

Dr Dennis Gross Alpha Beta Universal Daily peel* x 2 - I wish I didn’t like these but I do! Such a high quality acid product, perfect for travelling. Bit expensive for daily use though to be honest.

Rodial Bee Venom moisturiser - I love this cream and have a pot anyway so the sample was perfect for my trip away.

Omorovicza Acid Fix* - I already have this in full sized as I absolutely love it! I’ve got a couple of samples of it so it’s great for travelling.

Rodial Vit C Brightening cleanser - love this! Left my skin feeling so soft. Smells amazing. Will definitely buy full sized!

Kate Somerville Wrinkle Warrior serum - loved this too. Beautiful rich serum, super hydrating. Will buy.

Kate Somerville Exfolikate moisturiser - very light, gives a gentle acid tingle. Like it!

Lore Originals Legend hair mask - I’ve not heard of this brand before. The mask is used in dry hair before washing and left on for at least 15 mins. I left it on about an hour whilst I did my housework. I have to say I’m impressed! My hair was super smooth and silky after use! Really nice. I’d definitely buy again!

Sunday Riley Tidal moisturiser - this was definitely a grower! When I first tried it I didn’t think much of it but I kept finding myself reaching for it when I needed a really soothing, light moisturiser. Will definitely buy full sized!

Omorovicza Refining Facial Polish* - I love this cleanser, it’s a really fine, gentle physical scrub. It’s lovely for a morning cleanse. I’ve already re-bought it!

Kat Burki Vitamin C Intensive face cream - I absolutely love this cream and have purchased a full size jar of it. It leaves skin feeling amazing and gives the best canvas for putting makeup on.

L’Oreal Elvive Extraordinary Oil Coconut multi use nourishing balm* - Really nice intensive conditioner. I’m a sucker for anything coconut scented. Left my hair lovely and soft, not weighed down.

Living Sea Bath Salts - Absolute rubbish! I used the full small tub. The scent was very subtle and a bit odd. Like salty lemon?! Didn’t make any bubbles or leave skin softened.

Urban Decay De-Slick makeup setting spray* - already repurchase. One of my favourite setting sprays!

Urban Decay Perversion mascara* - Gives you super thick blacker than black lashes but smudges throughout the day. Won’t buy.

Sigma makeup brush cleanser - wasn’t great, you needed a lot for it to foam up.

Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion* - brilliant eyeshadow primer. Will re-buy in the future when I’ve used others up.

Elemis Frangipani Monoi body oil* - absolutely love this! Smells amazing and is perfect for me as I’m lazy when it comes to putting body cream on. You apply this when still damp from the shower so it’s less effort! Will definitely buy if I can get it on offer.

Lirikos Collagen wrapping sheet mask - fitted my face well. Left my skin very soft and hydrated after.

Natuko Raw Job’s Tears sheet mask - designed to brighten skin and minimise pores. Was a tad big so slipped a bit. Left my skin looking plumped and moisturised.

Paula’s Choice Resist Super-Light Daily Wrinkle Defence SPF 30*- sample. Hadn’t paid attention so didn’t realise this was tinted! Luckily it’s super sheer so wasn’t too dark for me. It gave a lovely light, matte coverage - I’d happily wear with just concealer. Really liked this, will likely buy in the future.

Oskia Renaissance Mask* - deluxe sample. I’m not sure about this mask. I love how it applies but it feels very plasticky and suffocating when left on. It does however leave skin looking great so I can get past that! Don’t think I’ll buy again as there’s other similar masks I prefer.

And that’s it for this month! Did you spot any favourites or new products you’d like to try? Let me know!
