You all know how much I love Trinny London* makeup so you can imagine how happy I was to be sent their newest products to try! There has been two releases - The Rocketman stack which is 4 new Eye2Eye eyeshadow shades and then more recently, two new Lip2Cheek shades. As always with Trinny London*, the products arrive in a gorgeous bright yellow box. I keep these - they make fantastic storage as they're so sturdy, plus they look good! I love opening each shiny silver box - I'm like a kid in a sweet shop!

So, onto the products - lets look at the Rocketman Collection first! These shades have a distinct Ziggy Stardust feel to them - with names like Mystery*, Chalice*, Faith* and Moon*, they're out of this world! (Groan - sorry lol) They're shimmery but still very wearable. I've been lusting after these since Christmas when they were released.

  • Chalice* is an absolute beauty! Such a unique lilac / deep silver pairing that really compliments my eye colour.
  • Moon* is my personal favourite from this collection. It's a warm, pale silver with a light shimmer that catches the light just right. This one will be getting lots of use!
  • Faith* is the darkest shade of the collection. It's a rich dark neutral brown with a subtle bronze shimmer that is perfect for a smoky eye. This shade and Mystery are outside of my Match2Me colour matches. It's the first time I've done this.
  • Mystery* is a light brown shade with a light gold shimmer. It's a perfect everyday shade with just that little bit of extra something.
Left to Right - Mystery, Faith, Moon and Chalice.

Shades Top to Bottom - Rocketman Collection: Chalice, Moon, Faith and Mystery.
Lip2Cheek Shades - Lady J and VeeBee

Now onto the newest Lip2Cheek shades. Lip2Cheek are as their name suggest, a duel use product that is both blusher and lipstick. It's a great way to pull a look together.
  • Lady J* is a light peachy nude. This shade perks up a look without it being too bright. It light but doesn't wash you out, which is rare for a pale nude!
  • VeeBee* is a dark, rich coral that is a wonderful everyday shade. Both of these shades are in my Match2Me recommendations.
Left / Bottom - VeeBee. Right / Top - Lady J.

What do you think to these new shades? Have you tried Trinny London* yet?

Paula's Choice C15 Super Booster Review

*This post contains affiliate links.
Paula's Choice UK - General - 468x60

I'm been using Paula's Choice C15 Super Booster for a couple of months now so thought it was time for a review! I've tried a number of Vitamin C products over the years and there's only been a couple that have really stood out to me. This is one of them!

So what does Vitamin C in skincare do? It brightens your complexion, lightens dark spots and gives skin an all round boost to leave you glowing! It's packed with antioxidants which help protect skin from pollution. Vitamin C is notoriously unstable, meaning it often oxidises and looses it's potency. However it comes in many different forms, some more stable than others. One of the most stable and therefor popular forms, is L-ascorbic acid.

Which brings me onto C15 Super Booster! This serum contain 15% L-ascorbic acid, along with Ferulic acid (which is another anti-aging antioxidant), Vitamin E and Peptides. It costs £45 for 20ml. I like that it's 20ml rather than the usual 30ml that most serums are because you know you'll get through it before it's past it's best.

So, what's it like to use? The serum comes in a dropper bottle with a tight seal to it, which is great to help avoid oxidisation as much as possible. It was clear upon first use but darkened very slightly to a pale amber after a day or two. It's not got any darker since though. I've found this to be pretty typical when first opening a Vitamin C product. It has the consistency of water and it absorbs instantly into skin. As it absorbs so quick, I've found you do need a decent amount to cover your face. I apply it in two stages, using 1/2 a dropper to cover my face from below my eyes and my neck, then a couple more drops to cover my forehead and the rest of my eye area.  It's a fairly hydrating serum too, which is always a bonus. I've been using it in my AM routine only, for the first month I used it pretty much daily, then every other day after that. I always apply it after my toner step, prior to another serum. I've found it works brilliantly with all products, there's been no pilling, no tackiness, no issues at all. That's the main reason I didn't like Drunk Elephant's Vitamin C serum, C-Firma. It just felt gloopy!

Now onto the results - does it work? Yes! My skin has been clearer and brighter. My acne pigmentation clears up quicker that it would normally. All in all this serum lives up to expectations. I've found it performs just as well as Skinceuticles C E Ferulic which was my previous Vitamin C serum. Plus the Paula's Choice one is much more affordable!

Will I be repurchasing? Most definitely!

Paula's Choice C15 Super Booster is available from a number of retailers for £45 including - Paula's Choice, Skin City and Look Fantastic UK and USA. I've linked them all as there are often offers on.

Use of the affiliate links is hugely appreciated and is a great way to support my blog. I love knowing my review's are being put to good use!*

I thought I'd jump on the bandwagon and share my favourite products from 2018.

Cleanser - Of course it has to be A.Florence Balm to Milk Cleanser*. I'm sure you're all fed up with me banging on about this cleanser but it really is that good! It's the perfect texture, it smells divine, it melts away makeup so efficiently and it's super gentle to skin. I love it.

Mask - Sjo's Happy Honey Mask. This mask has been all over Instagram for a reason. It's brilliant. It's thick and warming. It gently exfoliates but calms skin at the same time. It's basically a hug for your face.

Mist - Herbivore Rose Hibiscus mist This is just a great all round mist. It's very hydrating and smells great. What more could you want?

Acid - Drunk Elephant T.L.C Framboos Glycolic Night Serum. This is a great serum. It's a mix of AHA and BHA which I love as it means I get the benefits of both exfoliation and pore clearing. This is fairly strong acid strength wise but it still manages to be gentle.

Retinol - Paula's Choice Clinical 1% Retinol Treatment. This retinol certainly packs a punch! It never fails to leave me with smooth, glowing skin. Plus it has the added benefits of Peptides and Vitamin C.

Serum - Wow You Beauty Super Serum. This is a brilliant all round serum. It's a gorgeous gel consistency which melts into skin leaving it hydrated and plump. It's packed with amazing ingredients and it smells amazing too!

Eye Cream - Drunk Elephant C-Tango Multivitamin Cream. It was love at first use with this cream! It's so incredibly smoothing to my under eye area. It actually helps with my dark circles too!

Moisturiser - Kat Burki Vitamin C Intensive Face Cream. This is the most luxurious moisturiser I've ever tried. It's so rich and thick but not heavy. Plus it contains Vitamin C so it helps brighten skin as well as plumping it. It's expensive but it's a wonderful treat.

Oil - Herbivore Phoenix. This oil is such a multi-tasker. It hydrates, locks in moisture and helps promote cell turnover to leave you with glowing skin! It's not heavy or greasy. I love mixing it in with my moisturiser.

SPF - Evy Technology Daily UV Face Mousse SPF 30. This is hands down my favourite SPF. It's the lightest mousse that melts into skin and feels like nothing at all! It's not greasy so it works so well under makeup. Plus its got the added benefit of hydrating skin and boosting any other skincare you've applied. You can get 15% Evy Technology HERE using the code TORIA15 (affiliate code).

Treatment - Kate Somerville Eradikate Treatment. This is my absolute saviour when I get a spot. It contains salicylic acid to get deep into pores and sulphur to help clear spots up. It can dramatically shrink the size of a spot overnight.

Body Care - Wow You Beauty Babe Butter. This is such a rich cream. It melts into skin and seriously hydrates it. It's not greasy or heavy at all. Plus it smells delicious!

Hair Care - Function of Beauty Shampoo and Conditioner. My hair is in the best condition it's ever been thanks to this shampoo and conditioner. They're bespoke to your hair care needs and smell gorgeous.

And that's it - my favourite products from 2018! We're any of these your favourites too?

Collagen Supplements Review

Foreo International
I was lucky enough to be sent a few different types of collagen supplements to try over the last few months so I thought it was time to let you know my thoughts on them!

So what is collagen and why do we need more of it? Collagen is basically the glue that holds us together. Collagen production starts to rapidly decline as we age, usually from when we reach our thirties (i.e. ME!!). Taking Collagen supplements will help keep skin plump and supple, it will help repair our joints and give up thicker hair and stronger nails. Sounds amazing right?

Since taking Collagen supplements the biggest change I have seen is to my nails. They are so much stronger and are growing longer as a consequence. They're snapping less and are just all round better! My hair is in great condition too so much so that my hairdresser commented on it. Skin wise I've not noticed a difference but I think this area will probably be the least obvious, especially as I use serums / creams etc. I've been impressed enough to continue taking them daily.

I've tried out 4 different types of Collagen supplements from 2 different brands. I'll give pros and cons to each one.

LQ Liquid Health Supplements* - These come pre-mixed in individual bottles of fruit flavoured liquid. You get 10 bottles for £29.99 and you take 1 bottle per day, so that's a 10 day supply at £3 per day. Each "shot" contains a whopping 7000mg of marine collagen, Hyaluronic acid, glucosamine, selenium, resveratrol and Vitamins C, E and B7 so you're getting a lot for your money. The drink itself is fairly pleasant, although it does have a slight fishy scent and aftertaste. It is marine collagen after all! I'm not a fish lover and I don't find it a problem. These are super convenient and easy to take.

Bioglan Beauty Collagen Powder* - This powder comes in a 151g tub for £29.99 and you use one 5g scoop per day so you're getting a 30 day supply for £1 a day. 5g gives you 5000mg of Collagen and also Vitamin C, Biotin and Selenium. This is by far the cheapest option but it's also the hardest to take, for me anyway. The powder can be mixed into smoothies, soup, protein shakes or with a bit of warm water, then into any drink. The powder itself is super fine and easily gets everywhere! I wouldn't take this on it's own or mixed into a cup of tea as it does have that slightly fishy taste. I did however find a brilliant way to take it and that was mixed into a cup of hot chocolate. I would add the powder to the hot chocolate powder and mix with a bit of milk then add hot water. Perfect! Plus this way I couldn't taste the powder. But as I don't drink hot chocolate every day, it was easy to forget to take it. If you're a daily smoothie / shake drinker then this is the option for you!

Bioglan Beauty Collagen Strawberry Gummies -  These are 60 for £18.99 and are recommended to take 2-5 per day. If you take 2 per day it's a 30 day supply for 63p per day. 2 gummies gives you 1000mg of Collagen and also Vitamin C, Biotin and Selenium. The gummies themselves taste nice but do smell a bit fishy. These are really quick and easy to take and if like me you have a sweet tooth, you get a sugar fix too! These I bought myself to compare and I would buy them again.

Bioglan Beauty Collagen Effervescent Tablets* - These are raspberry flavoured tablets that dissolve in water. You get 20 tablets for £8.99 and you take 2 tablets per day so that's a 10 day supply at 90p a day. 2 tablets gives you 1000mg of Collagen and also Vitamin C, Biotin and Selenium. They take a minute or two to disolve. The resulting drink tastes lovely, with no fishy aftertaste or smell. These were sent as PR but I've since purchased more myself.

I think it all depends on your lifestyle and what you want out of the supplement as to which you go for. I'd recommend all of the above! For me personally, I prefer the Effervescent tablets and the gummies and have had great results on taking 1000mg a day.  This may change as I get older and require a higher dose. I'd say these are the best option if you're in your 30's and want to give Collagen supplements a try.

If you're looking for convenience and a super high dosage with the added benefits of Hyaluronic Acid - I'd say your best choice is LQ Liquid Health. I'll certainly buy them in the future when I need a higher dosage of Collagen!

If you drink daily smoothies or shakes or are looking for a cheaper option, then the powder is for you!

There are plenty of other Collagen supplements out there in different forms like tablets, it's just finding what works for you! Hopefully my reviews might help you decide which type are best for you. All of these are available from Holland and Barrett (products linked, not affiliated, just a hyperlink.)
