REN Skincare Evercalm Range Review

The REN Skincare Evercalm range* is designed for those with sensitised and sensitive skin but, as I've found, is brilliant for all skin types! There are 6 products in the range:

I've tried them all except the Cleansing Milk.

I was first introduced to the range when I got the Global Protection Day Cream* (£32 for 50ml) in the beauty box Caroline Hirons did with Space NK. I was a little worried about trying it as it contains Shea butter which can be problematic for acne prone skin like mine. Luckily I didn't have anything to worry about! The cream is designed to hydrate and soothe, whilst protecting your skin barrier. It also helps reduce redness and irritation, as well as hydrating. The cream comes in a brilliant air-tight pump bottle. The cream itself is thick and rich. It melts into skin really easily. It's very lightly fragranced, a fresh pleasant scent. Skin is left plumped, hydrated and incredibly soothed, which is perfect for when my acne is inflamed and angry. I think this cream would be great for all skin types.

The next products I tried from the range are the Gentle Cleansing Gel* and the Ultra Comforting Rescue Mask*. I'd received deluxe samples of them both with an order.

The Gentle Cleansing Gel* (£19 for 150ml) is a fairly runny gel that works up to a light lather when rubbed between damp hands. It's designed to cleanse skin in the gentlest way possible. It's got a light, fresh scent. It is incredibly gentle on my skin, leaving it clean and soft. I found it works best for a morning or second cleanse. I loved it so much, I immediately bought a full sized bottle. Never underestimate how good for your skin a gentle, hydrating cleanser can be!

Now onto the Ultra Comforting Rescue Mask* (£30 for 50ml). This one is something else! It's a thick cream almost balm texture that once applied, is like a hug for your skin. It's unbelievably soothing and hydrating. It's calms redness, hydrates and plumps skin and generally just makes your skin feel amazing! Again I bought a full sized tube immediately. It contains amazing natural Bio-Active ingredients like white mushroom extract which calms irritation and redness, Beta-Glucan which accelerates skin regeneration and Arnica Extract to reduce irritation and inflammation.

The Anti-Redness serum* (£32 for 30ml) is a lovely creamy gel serum. It's light and easily absorbed, it's quite cooling to apply. It hydrates skin and helps reduce redness. It's also designed to strengthen skins barrier and boost it's resilience, meaning you're less likely to be sensitive. It targets signs of aging caused by irritation and sensitivity. It's star ingredients are Milk Protein to boost healing and  calm irritation, Ochroleuca Seaweed extract to reduce redness and Arnica Extract. I've found this works well with all products, no pilling or stickiness.

The Overnight Recovery Balm* (£40 for 30ml) is the newest addition to the Evercalm range. It's a gorgeous rich balm that melts with your body heat into a light, hydrating oil. It's incredibly soothing containing ingredients like Beta-Glucan, Sunflower Extract which promotes skin to produce lipids which repair your skin barrier and a carefully curated selection of oils - Olive, Almond, Linseed and Borage. All these ingredients work together to boost your skin's regeneration, whilst calming inflammation and hydrating. The oils have been boosted by the addition of digestive enzymes which makes their antioxidant activity much more effective. All this happens overnight so you wake up with calm, hydrated skin! I've been loving this balm during the cold weather, it's really helped keep my skin from drying out.

Overall I'm incredibly impressed with all the Evercalm products that I've tried and would highly recommend them! Although they're marketed for sensitive skin, these products would work for all skin types. Have you tried anything from the Evercalm range?
