October Empties 2019

Space NK UK
Yes it's really time for another empties post! I swear the last one was only a few days ago but whatever. Here's what I've finished up during October.

REN And Now To Sleep Pillow Spray (bought myself, available from REN & Space NK for £18) - I usually buy This Works Deep Sleep Pillow Spray (read my review HERE) but I spotted this cheap on Ebloggers so thought I'd give it a go. It's nice but doesn't compare, in my opinion. It doesn't smell of lavender as much and I just didn't feel like it relaxed me as much.

Do I recommend it? It's not bad but I'd always recommend This Works instead (so no).
Will I repurchase? No

Drunk Elephant B-Hydra (bought myself, available from Space NK & Cult Beauty for £44) - You can read my full review of this serum HERE but to re-cap - it's a fantastic hydrating serum with the added bonus of ceramides and niacinamide.
Marks out of 10: 9/10
Do I recommend it? Yes
Will I repurchase? I've got a couple more minis in my stash already.

Mitchum deodorant (bought myself, available HERE for £3.20) - This is my go to deodorant that I've been using for years. It's a creamy stick so it's gentle on your armpits. Smells fresh without being overpowering. I hate having a deodorant that smells to strongly as it can overshadow my perfume.

Will I repurchase? Already have.

Drunk Elephant C-Tango (bought myself, available from Space NK and Cult Beauty for £54) - You can read my full review of this HERE but to re-cap - this eye cream is the best! It's my holy grail AM eye cream. It's so rich, a gorgeous smooth texture but still without being heavy. It hydrates, keeps fine lines at bay and even brightens my dark circles. It's the only product that ever done that. I use it every day and can't see any other cream taking it's place any time soon!

Touch In Sol Stretchex (bought myself, available from Boots as part of a mini set for £12 or MMCL Pro full sized for £18 or £12.60 if you use my affiliate code TTBSOL25) - Another holy grail product! This is the only mascara that I use now. I used to use Benefit mascaras but one day they just started giving my panda eyes! It was so odd. Ever since then every single mascara has smudged or flaked on me - except this one! I originally won the first tube of this in a giveaway and I've never looked back since. This must be my 4th or 5th tube now. It lengthens, separates, curls, lifts and it's super black. It's the best!

Will I repurchase? Already have and will continue to, repeatedly!

Herbivore Rose Hibiscus mist (bought myself, available from Space NK and Cult Beauty for £14-28 depending on size) - This is my second bottle of this. It's nice enough - hydrating with a light rose scent. Nothing amazing though. There's definitely more hydrating mists out there.

Will I repurchase? No.

SVR Xerial 30 Foot Cream (PR, available HERE for £10) - This is a fantastic foot cream. It's a thick gel / cream consistency that absorbs really quickly so you're not slipping about. It contains urea which is a natural moisturising factor and shea butter. It left kept my feet baby soft! Very impressed.

Will I repurchase? Yes.

Elemis Pro-Collagen Rose Cleansing Balm (bought myself, available HERE for £43 for a full sized tub) - I'm afraid I wasn't keen on this! I usually adore Elemis products but I didn't like the smell of this one. Purely personal preference. The balm itself performs brilliantly - it's a gorgeous consistency that melts makeup in a flash and leaves skin super soft. I love the other versions of this balm.
Marks out of 10: 5/10 (marked down for the scent, purely personal preference)
Do I recommend it? Yes if you like strong rose scented products.
Will I repurchase? Not this version but I do already have the Neroli one which I adore!

Peter Thomas Roth Rose Stem Cell Bio-Repair Gel Mask (bought myself, available from Cult Beauty and Look Fantastic for £45 for a full sized tub) - This was ok, nothing special to be honest. It left my skin hydrated but that was about it.
Marks out of 10: 4/10
Do I recommend it? No not for the price.
Will I repurchase? No

Peter Thomas Roth Blue Marine Algae Intense Hydrating Mask (bought myself, only seems to be available from Cult Beauty as part of a set for £72) - Again, I wasn't impressed with this at all! It was just ok at hydrating my skin.

Will I repurchase? No.

47 Skin Regenerative Mask (PR, available HERE for £39) - This is a fab mask and it's fun to use as it's peel off! It's a bit messy to apply as it's quite runny and sticky but it feels amazing on! It's very cooling. It has a gorgeous, light lavender scent - very subtle. You leave it on for about 25-30 mins until it sets. You can then either peel or wash it off. It's not painful to peel off at all - it's more like a modelling mask than those painful peel off ones! After use, skin it left soft and smooth.

Do I recommend it? Yes
Will I repurchase? Yes at some point.

47 Skin Silver Chitosan Anti-Blemish and Scar Repair Serum (PR, available HERE for £29 for 30ml, £45 for 50ml and £76 for 100ml) - You can read my full review of this HERE but to re-cap - this is a gorgeous milky serum. It hydrates skin and helps calm inflammation. Over time it helped reduce my acne pigmentation.

Do I recommend it? Yes
Will I repurchase? Yes at some point.

REN Clean Screen Mineral SPF 30 (bought myself, available from REN, Space NK and Cult Beauty  for £30) - You can read my full review of this HERE but my opinion has since changed about this SPF. The more I used this, the more I had issues with pilling. I ended up using this up on no-makeup days. Even when wearing it alone, it would gradually pill throughout the day! I think it was because of the mattifying ingredients in it - it made it powdery. It seemed to sit on top of my skin. Such a shame!

Will I repurchase? No.

Thicker Fuller Hair Root Lifting Serum (PR, available HERE for £12) - This is a lovely, light serum that helps to protect and nourish hair. It left my hair smooth and shiny. It didn't weigh it down at all. I didn't notice any root lifting though however it did say to blow dry hair to get the most volume. I always air dry my hair so maybe it was because of that.
Marks out of 10: 6/10
Do I recommend it? Yes
Will I repurchase? No as I prefer oils.

Thicker Fuller Hair Nourishing Daily Scalp Tonic (PR, available HERE for £12) - This tonic is designed to be sprayed and massaged into your scalp whilst your hair is dry. I found it hard to avoid getting it on my hair so only used this before my hair was due to be washed. It's super refreshing on your scalp as it's slightly minty / mentholy. As I've got thick hair naturally, I didn't notice any improvement there.
Marks out of 10: 6/10
Do I recommend it? It's definitely worth a try is you have fine hair.
Will I repurchase? No my hair's thick enough!

Ouai Wave Spray (bought myself, available from Space NK and Cult Beauty for £10-22 depending on bottle size) - This is a holy grail product for me - it's amazing! You spray it on wet hair and scrunch. It gives you the best beachy waves without being stiff or sticky. I also spray it on my wet hair then plat it. It helps hold the waves that way too.
Marks out of 10: 10/10
Do I recommend it? Yes
Will I repurchase? Already have! I won't be without this.

Benefit The Pore Fessional Matte Rescue (bought myself, available from Benefit, Cult Beauty and Look Fantastic for £11-24.50 depending on size) - This is vert different to the original Pore Fessional primer. It doesn't feel like silicone. It's a cooling gel that blurs pores well. It definitely helps control oil without making skin dull.
Marks out of 10: 9/10
Do I recommend it? Yes
Will I repurchase? Yes definitely! I've got some exclusive affiliate offer codes to share with you for Benefit Cosmetics, check them out below. Click HERE to go straight to Benefits website.

L'Occitane Shea Butter hand cream (bought myself, available HERE for £19.35) - This is a gorgeous, rich hand cream. It absorbs well and leaves hands soft and nourished.
Marks out of 10: 8/10
Do I recommend it? Yes
Will I repurchase? No because I've got other hand creams that I prefer more.

Verso Foaming Cleanser (GWP, available from Space NK and Cult Beauty for £32) - I'm not sure why they call this a foaming cleanser because it doesn't at all! It's a lovely, rich cream. I've only used it as a second cleanse. It leaves skin soft and clean. It didn't wow me though.
Marks out of 10: 6/10
Do I recommend it? Yes
Will I repurchase? No.

Kate Somerville Exfolikate Cleanser (bought myself, available from Space NK and Cult Beauty for £16-32) - I've tried samples of this and liked it but for some reason I've not got on with it this time! Every time I used it, it made my eye area sensitive, even if I tried to avoid that area. Such a shame as it was a lovely cleanser and left the rest of my skin soft.
Marks out of 10: 3/10
Do I recommend it? I'd suggest getting a sample as it is probably just me that doesn't get on with it!
Will I repurchase? No.

Trinny London BFF Eye (bought myself, available HERE for £26) - You can read my full review of this HERE but to re-cap - this is my holy grail under eye concealer. It's a concealer / skincare hybrid which gives great coverage with added hydration. It doesn't crease at all. Nothing beats it for me! I've had this since February so I think it's lasted well.
Marks out of 10: 10/10
Do I recommend it? Yes
Will I repurchase? Already have.

Pixi Beauty pHenomenal Gel (PR, available HERE for £24) - You can read my full review of this HERE but to re-cap - This is a lovely, light gel moisturiser that helps re-balance the pH of your skin, keeping it healthy. The more I used this, the more I fell in love with it! For me, it was a perfect summer AM moisturiser. It's super hydrating without being heavy.

Will I repurchase? Yes at some point.

Beauty Pie Plantastic Apricot Butter Cleansing Balm (bought myself, available HERE for £12.10 for Beauty Pie members) - If you're not familiar with how Beauty Pie works - read my blog post HERE. Sadly I wasn't keen on this cleanser, so I'm passing it on. I'd waited patiently for it to come back in stock after reading loads of good reviews. Cleansing balms are my favourite. This is really thick and nourishing. It removed makeup well enough. I just wasn't keen on the texture - it felt too heavy and almost like it left a thick layer on my skin. I always used a microfibre cloth to remove it and would say you definitely need to use a cloth of some sort. I just felt it was too rich for my skin. I think for dryer skin types, it would be amazing!
Marks out of 10: 5/10 (purely personal preference as it worked fine).
Do I recommend it? For those with dry skin, yes.
Will I repurchase? No.

Medik8 Hydr8 B5 serum (gifted, available HERE for £33 for a full sized bottle) - I absolutely love this hyaluronic acid serums. It's so silky and instantly hydrates and plumps skin.

Commleaf Skin Relief Perfect Cleansing Oil (PR, available from Commleaf's website) - This is a rich cleansing oil. Very gentle, doesn't sting eyes at all. It removes makeup brilliantly and leave skin soft.
Marks out of 10: 7/10
Do I recommend it? Yes
Will I repurchase? No because this brand isn't readily available in the UK.

And that's it for this month! Thanks for reading.
