As I've got acne prone skin, Salicylic Acid aka BHA is one of my favourite skincare ingredients. Salicylic acid not only exfoliates skin but it helps clear out pores from the inside too, as it's oil soluble. So it's a perfect choice for keeping congestion at bay and to prevent pores getting blocked with dead skin cells. I find using salicylic acid on a daily basis works brilliantly for me. Obviously we're all different - for some people once or twice a week will suffice. So The Inkey List Salicylic Acid cleanser is a perfect option for me.
If you've not heard of The Inkey List before, they're a budget friendly brand who aim to bust through skincare jargon and make all the hottest skincare ingredients accessable to all. Most of their products are single active ingredient formulas, similar in style to The Ordinary. This helps keep the cost down and means that they're great to mix and match with.
The Salicylic Acid cleanser is one of their most popular products and is often sold out. At £10.99 for 150ml, it's great value. It's a traditional gel consistency that gently lathers up when water is added. It doesn't have a scent to it. As well as containing 2% Salicylic acid, it also has zinc to help control oiliness and allantoin which is brilliant to calm and soothe skin.
I mainly use it as an AM cleanser. I like to apply it straight to my dry skin and give it a good massage before using a damp microfibre cloth to remove it. If you prefer to splash rinse, it's perfectly fine that way too as it rinses clean easily. I can happily use it daily without any sensitivity or issues. However, I will say that my skin is quite hardy when it comes to acids so this may not be the case for everyone. As with any acid product, it's best to start with using it a couple of times a week and slowly increase usage as long as you don't have any issues. This cleanser does a brilliant job at keeping my pores clear. It doesn't leave skin feeling stripped or tight either.
All in all, I think this is a fantastic cleanser, especially for the price! I've already bought a backup so I don't run out.

How long did it take for you to see results? I have had mine for about three weeks and the right side of my face is still quite red and looking flared up.
