I'm sure you know by now that I'm a huge fan of Trinny London makeup. If not you can read my brand overview review HERE and my review for BFF Eye HERE. So when I saw that Trinny was bringing out a new product - I had to try it!

BFF De-Stress is a tinted serum with additional skincare benefits designed to combat the effects of stress on your skin. Stress has a huge effect on our skin, causing it to look dull, tired and lack-lustre. It also accelerates the aging process. When we're stressed, our body produces stress-fighting hormones including cortisol. The more cortisol that is produced, the less our skin has time to recover and regenerate. BFF De-Stress contains NP-TriOX technology which contains Neurophroline. This is a fantastic ingredient that breaks down cortisol therefore effectively helps stop the signs of stress on your skin. It also contains hyaluronic acid to hydrate skin.

BFF De-Stress comes in 12 shades which are described as "stretchable" meaning that they should cover a wide range of skin tones. As with all of Trinny London's products - you can fill out the online Match2Me quiz and you'll be given a recommendation of what shade to pick. I've always gone by my recommended shades and they've usually been a good match. I'm very pale though, so I'm often the lightest shade. For my other Trinny London base products I wear Lightest in BFF Cream which is the lightest shade and a perfect match, Izzy in BFF Eye which is the lightest shade and a perfect match and Bambi in Just A Touch, which is the lightest shade, this is borderline for me - I can just get away with it as long as I blend it well. So when I checked my shade in BFF De-Stress I was shocked that it was coming up as Jemima which is the second lightest shade described as Neutral Vanilla for Fair Skin. The palest shade Flora is described as Ivory Bone for Fairest skin which is for Alabaster skin tones. From what I could tell from the photos, I thought Flora would be a better match for me so I went with my gut and ordered that shade instead. I'm glad I did as it's a perfect match!

So on to how it performs. It's a lightweight cream that blends quickly and easily into skin. I find 1 1/2 - 2 pumps is more than enough. It definitely gives more coverage that the original BFF Cream but it's still light coverage, buildable to medium. It dries down to a dewy, natural finish that I love! I find it wears well - it doesn't break up or go patchy. I wouldn't say it's long wearing but it still looks good at the end of the day. It does transfer a bit onto the inside of my mask but that's to be expected. It doesn't totally rub off though. I'm quite oily skinned so for it to last well on me is always a bonus!

No makeup

Just BFF De-Stress in shade Flora

BFF De-Stress with the rest of my makeup (mostly Trinny London)

As you can see from the photos it helps even out my skin tone but doesn't fully cover my acne pigmentation. I wouldn't expect it to though. For me, it's a perfect level of coverage. It still shows my freckles though but takes away any redness. I prefer a lightweight base and to use concealer to cover any imperfections. I adore the finish. All in all I'm really impressed with this - I've been wearing nothing else since getting it! Trinny London does it again - I highly recommend it.

BFF De-Stress is available HERE for £39.
