Sachi Triphala Pigmentation Corrector serum

Cult Beauty Ltd.

Sachi only launched last year but they're already a huge hit with the skincare community. The brand was founded by the lovely Farah (aka @beamwonder on Instagram) after she struggled to find an effective treatment for her pigmentation. Her first product, the Triphala Pigmentation Corrector serum (TPC for short), was three years in the making. Farah is trained in Advanced Cosmetic Science and you can really tell by the amazing ingredients she chooses for her formulas!

TPC is designed to gently but effectively brighten and fade hyperpigmentation. It differs from other  brightening serums in that it doesn't contain acids, retinol or hydroquinone. Instead it uses next generation skin brighteners along with antioxidants, soothing ingredients and peptides.

Ingredients of note are:

Triphala - a mix of three Ayurvedic super fruits,
Phyllanthus Emblica - a Vitamin C rich antioxidant that regulates melanin production,
Acetyl Glycyl Beta Alanine - a Peptide that helps prevent the breakdown of Hyaluronic acid in the skin as well as fading hyperpigmentation,
Diglucosyl Gallic Acid - reduces redness and inflammation.
Microalgae - encapsulated in liposomes, targets pigmentation and evens skin tone,
Acetyl Rheum Rhaponticum Root Extract and Hexylresorcinol - both advanced brighteners,
Glycerin, Milk Thistle and Bisabolol - to soothe, calm and support barrier function.

So on to how the serum performs. It's a beautiful emulsion texture. Lightweight but nourishing. It absorbs quickly and easily. It plays well with the majority of products that I've used alongside it. The exception being a bit of pilling if I've done an extra long routine. Likely my fault for applying too many layers! I've used it in my AM and PM routine, sometimes once a day, sometimes twice. I use about 1 1/2 of serum to cover my face and neck.

I've definitely noticed a difference in how long it takes to fade my acne pigmentation (PIE) since using this serum. Previously my PIE could take months and months to fully fade, now it's weeks. The below comparison photos are less that 6 weeks apart. You can see how much that patch of pigmentation has faded! There's less redness too. My skin tone in general is brighter and more even.

All in all I've been super impressed with this serum and highly recommend it if you suffer from pigmentation or just want a brighter complexion without any irritation.

Sachi Triphala Pigmentation serum is available HERE for £68.
