b.liv Collagen Indulgence & Kick Spots Out Mask Review

b.liv - pronounced believe, are a brand that originally launched in Asia but are now becoming popular all over the world. Their products are based on a cosmeceutical brand and have all been used in salons by professionals. They want their products to be effective and hassle free to use. Sounds great, right? b.liv kindly sent me two products to try. These were recommended for my skin type (oily / combination / acne prone.) I've been testing these out and thought I'd share my thoughts on them!

First up we have Collagen Indulgence. This essence is designed to help reduce signs of aging, whilst hydrating skin and boosting radiance. It has some amazing ingredients -
  • Collagen - this helps keep skin supple and firm.
  • Hyaluronic acid - this is amazing to hydrate skin.
  • Glycerin - this humectant keeps moisture in the skin.
  • Chamomile - this is a great anti-bacterial ingredient that also soothes skin.
  • Algae extract - this is packed with nutrients to give skin a boost!
The essence itself is a gorgeous, silky consistency. Take a look at the texture shot below! I've been using it in a morning, after my toner. It sinks into skin straight away, without any tackiness. Skin looks visibly plumped and hydrated. For $29 you get 30ml so it's great value too!

The next product I tried is the Kick Spots Out sheet mask. You get a pack of 10 for $19, so again they're amazing value! These masks are specifically designed for those with acne prone skin like mine. They can be used 2-3 times a week and are to be left on for 20-30 minutes. The masks are designed to gently exfoliate skin, whilst hydrating and soothing too. Their main ingredients are:
  • Chamomile - packed with anti-oxidants, it's also anti-bacterial and will calm skin.
  • Papaya extract - this will brighten skin tone and gently exfoliate to smooth skin.
  • Mango extract - another exfoliant to keep pores clear. This is also a natural astringent that helps control sebum production.
  • Witch Hazel - This helps removed excess oil and refines pores.
  • Aloe Vera - full of nutrients, this emollient calms and soothes skin,
  • Gluconolactone - this PHA is a gentle acid which will help keep skin moisturised whilst providing anti-aging benefits.
  • Burdock Root extract - this is a brilliant anti-inflammatory as well as being anti-bacterial.
The masks themselves are individually packed for freshness. They're really well soaked with serum. The serum is thick enough that it's not drippy or messy, which I was relieved about as it's a pet hate of mine. I found the masks to be a good fit too, as you can see in the photo below. It's impossible to smile with a mask on! They're to be left on for 20-30 minutes and don't dry out during that time. After use, my skin looks smooth and hydrated. My pores look refined and clear too. They're a great option to help with spots as they're gentle but effective.

As you can tell I've enjoyed using these products from b.liv and would definitely recommend that you give them a try! b.liv products are available to buy HERE
