We Are Paradoxx are an Irish haircare brand that create amazing, cruelty free, vegan haircare. Their products are free from SLS, mineral oil and perfumes too. I've been using a few of their products recently so thought it was time for a review! The first thing that I love about We Are Paradoxx is that they're environmentaly friendly. They're 90% plastic free, choosing aluminium instead. Not only does this look good but it's easily recyclable too. The brand take inspiration from their Irish heritage and use it to create some wonderful products.
The first product I tried is the Hangover Hair Elixir, which costs £30 for 75ml. Now I absolutely love the packaging of this - it's a hip flask! So unique. It's sturdy enough to re-use too! The elixir is a multi-use oil that's designed to give hungover hair a new lease of life! It contains Irish Whiskey which strengthens hair and adds shine along with a blend of Argan, Coconut and Soya oils to lock moisture in. The oil can be used on damp hair or dry. You only need the smallest amount as it's super rich, so although it's not the biggest bottle, it will last ages. I've been using it on damp hair and wow does it de-frizz!! My hair is very unruly and thick - when I use this it goes from a crazy lion mane to smooth, sleek tresses. It's amazing!
The next products I've tried are the Super Natural Shampoo (£18 for 250ml) and the Secret Weapon 3-in-1 Conditioner (£20 for 250ml). Both of these come in aluminium bottles with pumps. I love pumps - it just makes life easier when in the shower! No dropping slippy bottles. The shampoo lathers up nicely. It's very gentle to hair and rinses out easily. It's refreshing, almost minty and leaves hair feeling clean and soft. It contains nettle and hops extra for volume, ginseng to tame frizz and Matcha green tea, Carragreen moss extract and Babassu oil to nourish.
The conditioner is multi-use - it's a standard conditioner, leave in conditioner and finishing balm too! This shares some ingredients with the shampoo (Carragreen moss extract, nettle and matcha). It also contains Honey Locusts to fortify hair, leaving it soft and smooth, and coconut and hazelnut oils to intensify condition, de-frizz and tame. This does everything as promised - it leaves my hair light, not weighed down, smooth and silky soft. It smells good too!
