Lotus Potion Protective Emulsion Review

I've been using Lotus Potion Protective Emulsion for a while now, so thought it was time for a review. Lotus Potion believe that skincare should be streamlined and easy to use because life's complicated enough! Their award winning emulsion certainly lives up to this ethos. The emulsion is their only product but as it's packed full of amazing ingredients, you don't really need much else!

This cream contains an amazing cocktail of ingredients that have been carefully curated to keep skin healthy -
  • Niacinamide which we know in itself is a bit of a wonder ingredient as it does so much for skin! It boosts skins ability to protect itself from environmental stressors, as well as fading pigmentation and helping control sebum production.
  • Prickly Pear Seed Oil - this increases collagen production, protects skin from free radicals and keeps skin hydrated.
  • Sodium Hyaluronate - Locks in moisture whilst boosting collagen and elastin creation.
  • Red Raspberry Seed Oil - A brilliant anti-inflammatory, this also helps repair cells, reduces collagen destruction and prevents oxidative damage.
  • Sunflower Seed Oil - Protects skin from free radical damage, pollution and other environmental damage.
  • Liposhield HEV Melanin - This shields skin from blue light damage which comes from our phones, tablets, computers etc.
  • Prebiotics - This protects skin by encouraging the growth of the natural good bacteria flora that's found on our skin.
  • Green Tea Extract - A powerful antioxidant that not only prevents collagen breakdown but it protects against UV damage and glycation (the damage caused by sugar intake).
  • Grape Seed Extract - Prevents damage from oxidation, UV light and pollution.
  • Milk Thistle Extract - Contains fatty acids to maintain the skins natural moisture barrier as well as reducing UV damage.
  • Pea Extract - Protects and repairs dermal proteins (collagen / elastin).
  • Algaktiv Zen - This incredible microalgae blend restores skin balance by binding to the glucocorticoid receptor to prevent damage from stress-induced cortisol production. So clever!
An impressive ingredients list, I'm sure you'll agree!

The emulsion itself is a beautiful, light, silky consistency that instantly hydrates skin. It doesn't smell of anything at first until you rub it between your hands to apply it. Then it releases a delicate marzipan / almond scent - gorgeous! I've been using this in a morning with SPF applied on top. It creates a perfect base for makeup, leaving skin smooth and plump. My oily / combination skin has thrived from me using this - it's not heavy so doesn't block my pores or aggravate my acne but it's still moisturising enough so that my skin doesn't become dehydrated. I'm so impressed with it!

At £39.99 for 50ml - it's good value too! You can buy Lotus Potion Protective Emulsion HERE and you can save 10% by using my affiliate code - Toria10. Enjoy!
