Skincity Skincare Shower Power Peel Review

Space NK UK

I'm a huge fan of Skin City's skincare line so was super excited when they brought out body care too. I was sent a selection of their products to try, so I'll be reviewing them all as I use them.

First up is the Shower Power Peel. This is a dual exfoliant as it contains both acids and physical exfoliant. Acid wise it contains Glycolic which is great to help remove dead skin cells to reveal new, smooth skin and Salicylic which helps clear out pores, preventing blemishes. The physical exfoliant is cellulose grains which help to gently buff away any roughness. The peel is designed to be applied to damp skin and gently massaged on and the rinsed. I like to leave it on my skin to work it's magic whilst I finish washing my hair.

Consistency wise, the physical scrub is super fine meaning it's very gentle on your skin. It's still very effective though. It has a lovely fresh scent to it. I can definitely feel that it contains acids - you get a bit of a tingle when first applied. It rinses off quickly and easily, leaving you with the softest skin! I'm so impressed with this - it's the most effective body exfoliator that I've tried. I use it once or twice a week - I find that's enough to keep my skin soft and smooth. I would say it's probably gentle enough to be used daily but I wouldn't think it necessary. Definitely a repeat purchase for me, especially as it's very reasonably priced.

Skin City Shower Power Peel is available HERE for £7 for 50ml or £15 for 125ml.

  1. Oh I like the sound of this. I have only ever tried an acid or a physical, never together. That price point is appealing too. I am adding this to the list. Thanks for this review xx
