If you follow me on Instagram, you’ll have seen me raving about Leaves & Flowers Skin Sleep Cream. I’ve been addicted to using it! Before I get into my review, let me tell you a bit about the brand.
Leaves & Flowers are a UK brand, created by Sadie Leibo. Beauty obsessed Sadie had been using CBD topically to aid recovery after exercise and was amazed at how effective it was. She wondered how it would work combined with luxury skincare and Leaves & Flowers was the outcome! The brand are vegan and cruelty free, as well as focussing on sustainability.
So on to the product itself! The Skin Sleep Cream is designed to be an intensive overnight treatment that nourishes and soothes skin. It contains -
- 200mg of CBD isolate - an antioxidant and anti-inflammatory.
- Bulgarian Rose Extract - another antioxidant that’s known to calm inflammation. It’s also antibacterial.
- Plankton extract - also antibacterial, this is full of essential fatty acids, making it brilliant to moisturise skin.
- Glycogen - brilliant to boost hydration in the skin.
The Skin Sleep Cream is actually a super thick balm. You only need a small amount because of how rich it is. It immediately begins to melt with the heat from your hands, making it easy to apply. It's instantly nourishing. I love that it feels like it forms a protective layer on my skin. It has a very subtle rose scent that really adds to the luxuriousness of it, as does the weighty glass packaging. I mean, look at that texture!
Normally I'd be wary of using rich products, due to having acne but I've had no issues with this at all. I've been using it regularly and haven't had any more blocked pores or breakouts than usual. Every time I use this, I wake up the following day with plump, hydrated, happy skin. I think because it's so occlusive, it locks in all the goodness so effectively.
Have you heard of the term "slugging" that recently went viral on social media? Slugging is where you apply something like Vaseline / petroleum jelly as the last step in your PM skincare routine, to seal in the hydration from previously applied products. It's meant to be amazing for dry skin types. I think that this works in a similar way but is much more pleasant to use. I'm obsessed! I find myself reaching for it most nights. I absolutely love how it makes my skin look and feel!
As you can tell, I'm so impressed with this cream and would highly recommend it, especially if you're looking for a rich, overnight treatment.
