If you’ve been wanting to try Ultra Violette but aren’t sure which one to go for, you can now get the Mini Screen Wardrobe which is a set including mini tubes of four of their bestselling SPF’s. This costs £20 but you also get a £10 voucher redeemable off any full sized SPF. I’ve been testing them out for the last month or so.
Queen Screen SPF 50 (10ml) - This is a serum SPF. You can read my full review HERE but to recap - it’s very moisturising & emollient. You can see from the below photo that it has a super glowy, dewy finish. The SPF smells strongly of rose but doesn’t sting my eyes. I've read a number of reviews saying that this is more suitable for dry skin types but I'm acne prone / oily / combination and it works well for me! I do love a glowy finish though which not everyone with oily skin does. I think this makes a great base under makeup.
Supreme Screen SPF 50 (15ml) - This SPF is designed to be a moisturiser, primer and sun protection all in one! It's a beautiful, lightweight cream that instantly hydrates skin. It absorbs quickly and easily giving a natural skin-like finish. It actually feels quite runny when spreading it onto skin, although it's not overly runny when coming out of the tube. It has a very subtle fresh scent - it doesn't have that SPF smell to it. It doesn't leave a white cast on me or sting my eyes. I've still be using a moisturiser under this but I'd say most people could skip this step if they wanted. This wears well under makeup too which is always a bonus! I've not had any pilling / rolling issues with this. I'd say that this is my favourite out of the set (Queen Screen is a close second).
Lean Screen SPF 50 (15ml) - This is a mineral / physical Zinc sunscreen. I never really get on with mineral SPF's and unfortunately this isn't an exception. It initially feels very light, especially for a physical SPF. It settles down to a matte finish that very quickly started to pill and go powdery on my skin. As you can see from the photo, it has a slight tint to it which I'm guessing is to try and avoid any white cast. I'm very pale skinned and it you can see where the SPF has been applied on my hand, although when it was applied on my face, it didn't look as dark. If anything, it left a bit of a white cast especially whilst it was being rubbed in. Definitely a miss for me.
Clean Screen SPF 30 (15ml) - I was a bit confused with this one as it's described as a gel but I would say it's more of a lotion consistency. Either way, it's incredibly lightweight and easy to apply. It's fragrance free and doesn't have the typical SPF scent. It's designed for acne-prone / combination skin. This looks slightly tinted too but it's not dark like Lean Screen. It blends into my skin well, especially when applied to my face. It has a natural finish. I didn't have any pilling issues with this. The only downside is that it's SPF 30 which isn't a huge issue really. I do prefer SPF 50 if possible. I'd happily wear this in winter though!
