I was lucky enough to be sent Sachi's newest serum to try before it was officially released. Now it's available to buy, I thought I'd share my thoughts! I've been using it for well over a month now and have been very impressed.

If you've not heard of Sachi before, let me introduce you. Sachi was founded by Farah aka @beamwonder. If you don't already, go give her a follow as she's super knowledgeable about all things skincare. I'm already a huge fan of Sachi's Triphala Pigmentation Corrector serum - read my review HERE. Sachi focus on creating highly effective formulas that combine ancient Ayurvedic botanicals with the latest high-tech scientific ingredients. The best of both worlds!

So, on to the serum. It has a whole host of amazing ingredients, designed to benefit skin in a number of ways -

  • Bio-active stabilised Retinaldehyde 0.05%. Retinal is a super potent form of Vitamin A. It's only one step away from Retinoic Acid which is the prescription strength version. Retinal works faster that traditional Retinol and has less of the side effects like sensitivity or peeling. It's also antibacterial, making it a perfect choice for acne prone skin.
  • A Tripeptide which is brilliant for anti-ageing concerns as it helps boost collagen production.
  • Liposomal Ursolic Acid which is a powerful anti-inflammatory that stimulates collagen and elastin production as well as boosting Ceramides to keep skin looking and feeling youthful.
  • Ayurvedic botanicals such as Bakuchiol to regenerate, Holy Basil to nourish and Black Cumin Seed Oil to clarify skin.
  • Cucumber and Oat oil to calm, soothe and protect.
  • Antioxidant Glutathione to brighten skin tone.
  • Rosehip and Carrot Seed oils provide fatty acids and nutrients to nourish skin.
All of these fantastic ingredients work together to brighten, repair and regenerate skin to leave it looking youthful.

Now, on to how the serum performs. First of all, I love the airless pump packaging. One pump dispenses enough product to cover my face and neck easily. The serum is a lightweight gel / cream. It's hydrating and absorbs quickly and easily into skin. It has a very faint scent of cumin that doesn't linger. I've not had any pilling or rolling issues with the serum at all. It's played well with all the products that I've used alongside it.

Prior to using this serum, I'd been using prescription strength Vitamin A, so I used this serum daily from the start. I had no issues at all with sensitivity or peeling. Obviously you'd have to judge your usage based on your prior Vitamin A experience. When it comes to Vitamin A products, it's best to start usage cautiously - say a couple of times a week, then increase gradually if you don't have any issues. As always, listen to your skin.

So what do I think of it? I love it! My skin is smooth, bright and clear. I was a bit worried that my acne would flare up due to switching from a higher strength of Vitamin A but it didn't at all! In fact, my skin is clearer than it's been in a while. I've still had the odd spot but nothing like what I've dealt with previously. I've also noticed that my overall skin tone is more even and brighter too. I've been pairing this serum with the Triphala Pigmentation Corrector serum as they're designed to be used in conjunction with each other. They've been work brilliantly together to keep on top of my PIE (acne pigmentation).

You can see in the above photos that my acne pigmentation has faded and my pores look more refined. My skin looks brighter in general. As you can tell, I'm really impressed by this serum and would highly recommend it! Another winner from Sachi.
