February Empties 2021

Another month down, means another empties post! Here's what I've used up during February.

Algenist Complete Eye Renewal Balm (PR, available from Space NK, Cult Beauty, Feel Unique, Look Fantastic for £48) - This product has just been reformulated so I'll keep it brief as this version will no longer be available. It's a gorgeous eye cream. Super thick in texture, it's surprising lightweight and just melts into skin. It's brilliant to soothe and hydrate the eye area.

Do I recommend it? Yes
Will I repurchase? Obviously not this version but I'm very tempted to try the new version.

A. Florence Balm to Milk Cleanser (bought myself, available HERE for £31) - Another product that's been reformulated, which I'm absolutely gutted about! This was my all time favourite cleansing balm. It's a beautiful texture that melts easily, gives the perfect slip to massage your face with and it smells incredible - of sweet oranges. It was one of those fragrances that instantly uplifted me. Unfortunately for me, it's now been reformulated without fragrance. I completely understand why, a lot of people don't like or can't tolerate fragrance in skincare so it makes sense. Such a shame for me though!

Do I recommend it? Yes
Will I repurchase? No, I don't like cleansing balms without a scent.

Zelens Transformer Instant Renewal mask (bought myself, available full sized from Look Fantastic & Face The Future for £100) - This is a lovely, creamy mask. It hydrates and nourishes skin and leaves it looking brighter.

Do I recommend it? Yes
Will I repurchase? I've already got a few more of these samples to go through.

Kana Vita CBD cream (PR, available from Harvey Nichols for £86) - This is an super rich cream with a high amount of CBD in it. It's great as an intensive leave on treatment to calm and soothe skin. I also liked to use it on my stomach if my Endometriosis was playing up.
Marks out of 10: 7/10
Do I recommend it? Yes
Will I repurchase? No, it was a bit rich for my acne prone skin.

Summer Fridays CC Me Serum (bought myself, available from Space NK & Cult Beauty for £57) - You can read my full review of this HERE but to re-cap - this is a beautiful hydrating serum that contains Vitamin C and Niacinamide to brighten and even skin tone. It's a gorgeous texture that absorbs easily. A really lovely serum.

Do I recommend it? Yes
Will I repurchase? Yes at some point.

Thrive CBD oil drops (PR, available HERE for £34.95-£89.95 depending on strength) - I'm a huge fan of CBD and have been taking it for well over a year now to help with my endometriosis pain. It makes a huge difference to me and also helps with anxiety and sleep issues. These drops are a great way to take your daily dose. This was  the blood orange flavour and strength 1000mg. It actually tasted of chocolate orange! So yummy.

Do I recommend them? Yes
Will I repurchase? No because I prefer Zoetic CBD drops instead. Plus they work out cheaper! You can save a huge 30% off Zoetic using my affiliate code victoria30 (lowercase).

Murad Retinol Youth Renewal Eye Serum (PR, available from Murad, Space NK, Feel Unique, Look Fantastic for £72, Cult Beauty for £65, All Beauty for £54.50) - I was really excited to try this as I know it's a favourite of many in the beauty community. Unfortunately it's not for me! It's a lovely, lightweight serum that hydrates the eye area well. The only reason I've not got on with it is that every time I use it, it pills / rolls. It doesn't matter what other products I use, it happens every time. Very frustrating!

Will I repurchase? No.

Mitchum deodorant (bought myself, available HERE for £3.20) - This is my go to antiperspirant. It works well and has a fresh scent that isn't overpowering.

Will I repurchase? Already have.

Bioglan Beauty Collagen gummies (PR, available HERE for £18.99) - This bottle was PR but I've been taking these supplement for well over a year now. They taste just like jelly sweets! Collagen supplement make a huge difference to my nails - they're stronger and don't break as easily.

Do I recommend them? Yes
Will I repurchase? I have them on a monthly subscription, so yes. Works out cheaper that way too!

Kat Burki pH+ Enzyme Essence (bought myself, available HERE for £100) - As you can see I've not finished this as it's well past it's use by date. I bought it in the Christmas sales 2019! It's a gorgeous essence that hydrates skin beautifully. It also contains enzymes which gently exfoliate and brighten skin. As lovely as it is, I just didn't find myself reaching for it.
Marks out of 10: 7/10
Do I recommend it? Yes if it's within your budget.
Will I repurchase? No. It's nice but I think it's expensive for what it is. It was reduced when I bought it.

Pixi Beauty Glow Mist (bought myself, available from Cult Beauty, Look Fantastic & Boots for £16) - Another one that is past it's best. I bought this ages ago after seeing Caroline Hirons recommend it. For some reason I wasn't too fussed with it to start with and it got shoved to the back of my skincare drawer. I tried it again at a later date and loved it! It's a dual phase mist with oil so you have to shake it up before spraying. It smells gorgeous and leaves skin so hydrated and nourished. Unfortunately I wasn't able to finish the bottle in time before it needed binning.

Will I repurchase? At some point, yes.

Jan Marini Transformation Face Cream (PR from Face The Future as part of a set for £131.99, also available from Skin City) - Unfortunately I've not got on with this cream due to it's scent. I'm sensitive to certain fragrances and they give me migraines. Sadly this is one of them! Normally I love fragrance in skincare but this one really effects me. It's not an unpleasant scent - it's a fresh cucumber type fragrance. The cream itself is lightweight and absorbed easily.
Marks out of 10: 1/10 but that's purely personal to me. There's nothing wrong with the cream itself.
Do I recommend it? As long as you're not sensitive to fragrance, it's worth a try!
Will I repurchase? No.

ECooking Neck & Decolletage Cream (PR from Beauty Expert, also available from Look Fantastic, Feel Unique for £43) - This is a lovely rich neck cream without being heavy or greasy. I'm passing it on to a friend though as I prefer the Dermalogica Neck Fit Contour serum instead (see my before and after pics HERE).
Marks out of 10: 5/10
Do I recommend it? It's nice enough but I think there's better options out there.
Will I repurchase? No.

Oio Lab 7 Wonders Botanical Smoothing Treatment (PR, available HERE for £69) - A gorgeous oil that's packed full of nutrients and antioxidants including Prickly Pear oil and Squalane. It's a fairly rich oil so you only need a couple of drops. It leaves skin feeling soft and nourished.
Marks out of 10: 7/10
Do I recommend it? Yes
Will I repurchase: I've been sent another bottle so don't need to repurchase at the moment!

Omorovicza Cleansing Foam (bought myself, available from Space NK, Cult Beauty, Look Fantastic, Feel Unique, for £20-55 depending on size, Face The Future for £54, All Beauty for £29.95) - I really wanted to love this cleanser purely for the scent alone! It has a beautiful orange blossom fragrance that I adore. It has an incredible texture too - it's a fluffy, mousse that is super creamy. Unfortunately this left my skin feeling tight and squeaky clean which is not a good thing. This usually means that it's stripping the natural oils from your skin.
Marks out of 10: 2/10
Do I recommend it? No
Will I repurchase? No.

AHC Aqualuronic toner (bought myself, available HERE for £20) - I'm passing this on to a friend - not because I don't like it though! I'd bought one, then won another bottle in a giveaway, so I'm giving a friend this one as she's suffering with dehydrated skin. It's a gorgeous toner. It's a water consistency and absorbs quickly and easily into skin. I apply it straight from my hands, usually a couple of layers. It has a fresh scent. It contains 3 different versions of Hyaluronic acid to hydrate and ceramides to nourish.

Will I repurchase? I've already got another bottle to use.

And that's it for this month! Thanks for reading.
